Josh Turner’s hit single “Why Don’t We Just Dance” holds the #1 position on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart for four consecutive weeks and also tops the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart. “Why Don’t We Just Dance” is the first four-week-number-one single of Turner’s career. “I am on cloud nine right now,” says Turner. “You can’t get any higher than #1 and to stay there for four weeks is just incredible. I am really happy that people love this song.”
Haywire, Turner’s fourth studio album, debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart and entered Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart at #2 - marking the singer/songwriter’s third straight top 10 album. Turner adds, “With the way the economy is right now, I’m especially grateful to every person who went out and bought the new record and helped us have such a great first week on the sales charts.”
Just announced today, Alan Jackson has invited Josh Turner to be part of his Freight Train Tour kicking off April 8 in Estero, FL. “I am really looking forward to sharing the stage with Alan,” says Turner. “He has always been one of my musical heroes and I know we will be playing for a great group of country music fans during this tour.”
Album reviews continue to pour in for Haywire. The most recent review appears in People Magazine - “Male country voices don’t get much sexier that Josh Turner’s. With his thick, rich baritone, he can be both tough and tender, leaving your knees weak either way.”
